New on NPR label: Prepare for the sonic assault from submeet!

At No Profit Recordings, we are always happy to welcome innovative, different and enthusiastic bands. Italian noise post-punk trio submeet is definitely not an exception, and will come as a beautiful surprise to all lovers of genres mentioned above. Submeet’s new album codename ® will be released on October 3rd, 2025, on vinyl and CD through our label. This release is a product of collaboration with the Italian labels Controcanti Produzioni, Santa Valvola and Non Mi Piace.

Submeet is a trio created through the synergy of Andrea Zanini Zannunzio (vocals, bass, lectronics), Andrea Guardabascio (guitar, vocals, effects) and Jacopo Rossi (drums, percussions). The band was formed in 2017 in Mantova, the heart of an independent and noisy scene that birthed acts like a/lpaca, Exhibit and artistic collective Paura Padana. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with acts like Preoccupations, Molchat Doma, as well as Soft Play.

Somewhere between noise, punk and art performance

They describe the upcoming release codename ® as a music manifesto:

Ten tracks like ten stories, inspired by the structure of Boccaccio’s Decameron. Ten modern tales that give voice to the discomfort, tension, and noise within us. Each track is a story. Every story, an open wound.

The album embraces a more compact, sharp songwriting style, focused on punk and electronic elements. The atmospheres turn urban, tense, and almost militant. Distortions are no longer just a backdrop; they become an attack.
