Carnivore A.D. is coming to Pula on December 4

No Profit Recordings continues its fantastic concert streak in 2025. On December 4, the American thrash/heavy metal/hardcore punk band Carnivore A.D. will take the stage at Pula’s Klub Kotač, supported that evening by dark hardcore punk band Črnomor from Rijeka.

Crossover legacy reborn

Anyone who follows and remembers the legacy of the never-forgotten Peter Steele, best known as the frontman of Type O Negative, has at some point come across his earlier band Carnivore, which has also built a true cult following over the years. The band was founded by Steele himself in New York back in 1983, where he took on vocal and bass duties. Initially, though only briefly, they went by the name Disciple.

Over the years, they became one of the key figures of the flourishing crossover movement, skillfully blending hardcore punk, heavy metal, and thrash while wrapping it all in post-apocalyptic and nihilistic themes. During the 1980s, Carnivore released two landmark albums, Carnivore (1985) and Retaliation (1987), which helped shape the metal scene in the U.S. and beyond.

Following Peter Steele’s death in 2010, Carnivore disbanded. However, seven years later, a spark reignited among the original members, and the story picked up where it left off. The renewed lineup focuses on the band’s history, legacy, and nostalgia, with each new concert serving as a living tribute to the spirit and legend of Peter Steele and guitarist Keith Alexander.

A dark HC punk warm-up

Črnomor is a hardcore punk band from Rijeka formed in early 2024 by guitarist Dan Kulišić and drummer Luka Vučetić, who had honed their style through previous projects No Army and Cut the Cord. Soon after, bassist Leon Kosanović joined the lineup. The band quickly recorded their first demo, From the Wells, featuring three tracks.

They began performing in Slovenia, the Netherlands, and their hometown of Rijeka, including an appearance at Dark O Metal Fest 2024. After Kosanović’s departure, Kulišić switched to bass, while guitarist Kristijan Rukavina joined the band. Črnomor earned a Rirock nomination for New Hope 2024, which secured them a single release through Uran Music, a project that came to fruition.

In June of this year, they recorded the single Crusaddiction at Studio Pehlin and released it across all streaming platforms. Among their notable performances was at the Homo Si Teć marathon in April 2025, where a video of their set went viral on Instagram with over 60.000 likes and 700.000 views.
