Black Lung (USA) / Pomelo Chess Society (CRO) @07.12.2022. Monte Paradiso Pula

Black Lung has four albums behind them, and the last one, “Dark Waves”, was released through the cult Heavy Psych Sounds Records under the leadership of Kurt Ballou (Converge). After various changes within the band, during the period of pandemic restrictions, the band closed and worked on their fourth album. The entire discography is consistent just as it should be when it comes to heavy doom bands.

Pomelo Chess Society – founders of the musical direction – Chess math rock. It is simultaneously about calculated, progressive, and dynamic music that comes out of the domicile frame of math rock. The boys are already seasoned musicians who played in a number of Rijeka bands until their common love for chess, exotic fruit, and rock brought them together.
