The streak of excellent concerts at DC Rojc continues, this time in collaboration of Stone Kraft Productions and No Profit Recordings. On Thursday, August 7, one of the most renowned sludge-doom bands in the world, Canada’s Dopethrone, will take the stage at Monte Paradiso in Pula! Supporting them will be the Slovenian sludge trio Britof.
Dopethrone is a cult three-piece band hailed by fans of crushing riffs, relentless “slutch” heaviness, and raw, explosive sound, something many love to see live. This will be the first opportunity to experience them in Pula. Active since 2008, this trio upholds an uncompromising DIY (and punk) approach not only to their music but also in designing album covers and music videos. Since their formation, they have released five albums, collaborated with various artists, and toured the world, especially Europe, where their fanbase is strongest. This show marks the band’s first appearance in Europe since 2019, after Dopethrone focused on their latest release “Broke Sabbath,” which was eventually unveiled in May last year.
The duty of warming up the crowd falls to Britof, a Slovenian band delivering fierce sludge with elements of stoner metal and a hint of black’n’roll. They have released two albums, “Britof” (2017) and “Ruins” (2022), and performed extensively throughout Slovenia and Europe.
Tickets are available via CoreEvent system.
Don’t miss this night of pure sonic filth and unforgettable heaviness!
