Bosco Sacro, the Italian dark ambient quartet celebrating five years of official existence this year, is well known on the local alternative scene of Istria. After performing at festivals such as Brutal Assault and Bear Stone, they return to Pula on April 19, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Kariti!

Dark Ambient Trip-Hop Poetry

The “sacred forest” quartet—consisting of Paolo Monti (The Star Pillow, DAIMON), Giulia Parin Zecchin (Julinko), Luca Scotti (Tristan da Cunha), and Francesco Vara (Tristan da Cunha, Altaj)— has been actively creating and performing on the Italian and European underground scene for over a decade.

Inspired by a deep connection with nature and landscapes, and devoted to music as a near-ritualistic way of freeing the spirit, mind, and body, their style is characterized by a dreamy atmosphere, slow rhythms, and profound sonic and spiritual depth. Their musical refuge is built upon dark ambient, doom, and trip-hop influences.

The creation of their debut album Gem unfolded spontaneously and naturally, shaping a sound that merges the individual members’ past experiences into a new expressive language. Under the skilled production of Lorenzo Stecconi—renowned for his work with musical greats such as Amenra, Ufomammut, and Zu—the album was recorded in a single, unique session.

Dark Folk to Open the Evening

Kariti is a Russian musician who has been living in Italy for years. She emerged on the music scene in 2020 with her album Covered Mirrors, introducing a dark folk expression that fuses her heritage with a dark, acoustic musical backdrop enriched by electronic effects.

Her striking vocals have set her apart as one of the most intriguing new artists on the European scene. Performances alongside Brutus, Grift, and Messa have secured her reputation as a musician whose time is yet to come.
