The new LP by BÖ.SENBERG (Vincent Redel) is the seventh album recorded in five years, under his former alias César Palace. Recorded in a context of temporal urgency after two years of intense touring (+150 concerts across Europe in 19 months), this album marks the closure of the César Palace chapter, abandoned due to legal complaints over the name.

Unlike the six previous albums, this opus takes a live-oriented approach, emphasizing acoustic drums. Raw energy and dynamic contrasts take the lead, diverging from the earlier, more ambient-electronic sound where samples and production (notably with Théo Cloux) played a central role.

With “Ta pureté bien que démentielle ne sera jamais altérée”, BÖ.SENBERG merges the energy of live performance with the studio experience, balancing drums and samples at similar levels. The focus is on the tribal and performative essence of the music.

The album was recorded at Shadyn Studio (Nancy, France) with Anthony Laguerre (Myotis V, Les Percussions de Strasbourg), maintaining a live feel with minimal corrections or overdubs. Over two days, the seven tracks were captured, one of which was fully composed by Laguerre (Configuration Spirituelle).

The mixing and mastering were carried out by Guillaume Brot (Seeding Waves Studio, Camaret-sur-Mer), whose familiarity with BÖ.SENBERG’s music proved invaluable.

Composed amidst the urgency of back-to-back tours, this album marks a pivotal moment in the artist’s career: a new sonic direction blending live energy with studio experimentation.
